Quite possibly the most Australian restaurant in Australia, Baba's Place celebrates what its team calls 'Suburban Food'. Any dish might be a mashup of Lebanese, Greek, Macedonian and Chinese, which sounds like cultural chaos but in the hands of JP El-Tom and Michael Lo Presti, is all things excellent. Baba's Place sits behind a gritty warehouse door, there are lace tablecloths on the tables and it doesn't take much to descend into dancing. It's a place of true heart, warmth and unity.
