Dim sum is another thing that is very important in Chinese culture and in Hong Kong. Again, dim sum is everywhere, there is high end, low end and take away options. Dim sum is something that has become very common, and in my opinion when it's done right its a work of art. It's an artist making little dumplings. One of the best dim sums that I’ve experienced in Hong Kong, is in Forum which is also run by a very dear friend of mine. The Forum is a three star Chinese restaurant, famous for its dried abalone which is a big part of our cuisine. For me, once you have their abalone, you don’t need to have it anywhere else because they're basically the ceiling. Then on top of that they have very good other dishes like for example sweet and sour pork. Sweet and sour pork can be quite deceiving as well because it’s also a dish that you find in take outs, but when it's done right it's absolutely incredible. And of course like I mentioned, the dim sum is some of the best that I've ever had in Hong Kong.
