Andersonville is an old Swedish neighborhood about a 25 min. cab ride from downtown (or easy CTA train ride). Many of the original immigrants have left, but there are remnants of the past, including some new blood. This bakery/cafe takes a modern approach, milling all of their flour in-house, and making some exquisite pastries (the owner is classically trained). Breakfast and lunch are typically the best times to try, but they also launched dinner service. Be sure to try the almond-lingonberry cake!
