Joe Boley & Jen Riley's late night craft cocktail bar - taqueria with a serious rock and roll vibe.First, things, first. I'm a Southerner who grew up along the 1-10 corridor learning to drink in dive bars from New Orleans to New Mexico. We're talking jukeboxes with Lynyrd Skynyrd on repeat, late-night taco trucks, motorcycle clubs chalking cue sticks and chefs playing pinball while drinking Budweiser from a bottle. This is everything that I love about Joe Boley & Jen Riley's Texi-Cali Red House. These talented restaurateurs (Sister Midnight) create authentic concepts from their shared experiences in the American West & Europe. Red House is so well-done: bangin' craft cocktails (hello, they are a World's Best Bar), food, staff, decor & classic rock DJ nights all create a vibe that make you want to stay all night. Local legend Omid Tavallai (Co-Founder of Emperor Norton/Transplant Kitchen Podcast) is the "taco slinger" - making killer taqueria bar snacks from scratch: tacos, queso nachos, chicken wings and more. The bartenders are knowledgable, friendly and remember faces and drink orders like no-one's business. Red House has it ALL, including a disco ball, Metallica pinball machine and big screen TV for football matches. Game, on. Photos: Aron Farkas
