Trattoria Emilia is a little bit of a sleeper restaurant here, I think it's a little bit of an underrated place. If you go there midweek and you make a booking you must ask if you can reserve a portion of their special: ‘tortellini in brodo’. The classic dish from Emilia-Romagna region, the tiny little tortellinis in broth. I don't want to throw shade on Emilia-Romagna, but I was in Bologna in Modena last year and we ate a lot of tortellini in brodo. Still, in Trattoria Emilia in Melbourne it was the best bowl I've ever had. It was on another level and I've had it several times now.
