This place is specialized in indigenous Nort East Thai food.
Had a solo lunch in almost empty restaurant. Presume it is mostly for dining but enjoyed a unique meal thoroughly.
Mangosteen dish included stunning warm mangosteens, crushed amaranth’s and very funky fish sauce. Watermelon dish was identical with that. And it was huge!
Fermented fish was some sort of tuna species (asked but was not tuna or mackerel…) and it was absolutely mouthmelting with high fat content. Reminded me of pork belly and bone marrow with it’s texture.
Realized afterwards that there was MUST TRY stamped dishes on the menu, so those ones defo to try when here next. Servwd with crisp fried lile leaves that were a treat to eat, tooz
Groovy Nigerian 60’s afro rock by The Funkees and 70’s Vietnamese soul legend Karol Kim played along and set the vibe to this simply pleasant venue.
Well worth the hike, well moped cab ride here.
