Italian restaurant, with special focus on the region of Venice, and natural wines. This was our first visit to Xemei, but we had visited Osteria Il Colombo (Xemei’s brother in Madrid) previously and had a fantastic meal. We loved the area where it’s located, a bit more calm and great to disconnect from the city a little bit. A part from that, we of course also enjoyed the meal, very casual, not overcomplicating things, just nice pasta and a nice wine menu.On this occasion we were several people and ordered the following:* Strozzapreti Cacio e Pepe.* Burrata and tomato salad.* Pappardelle with Ossobuco ragout.* Tiramisú.We especially loved the pastas, but generally speaking all dishes we had were very enjoyable. The strozzapreti had the perfect al dente bite, and on the other side, the ragu was packed with flavor and the pappardelle completely absorbs the sauce, just lovely!Together with the food we had Ageno 2016 from Le Coste.Definitely a place we recommend and will go back in the future.

I think it’s fair to say that Cocina Hermanos Torres is a classic modern 3 Michelin star restaurant with everything that this entails. I think I have mentioned techniques and elaborated presentations more times in this piece than I have in my last 5 put together. It is however not just about techniques. The flavors are great as they should be and it’s all underpinned by great service. Lately, I have been annoyed when tasting menus last for +4 hours which is a very long time unless it’s +20 dishes. Here it was about 3 hours and not once did I think to myself “it's been a while since the last dish” which is exactly how it should be.
