Succesfull Italian and Japanese fusion in a very well designed restaurant Restaurant Levi is an extremely welcome addition to the Copenhagen dining scene. The food is a fusion of Italian and Japanese food which when you think about is an obvious combination with their product driven approach, the wine list is extensive and has all the right bottles and the decor is extremely cool. That to an extent where it balances on a knifes edge of being too posh but it is exactly on the right side. It’s just cool. All in all a great place and a perfect place in case you want to impress your significant other for a date

Most of the dishes are from the Italian province Emilia-Romagna.Filled pasta like ravioli with asparagus and pancetta, tortellini with parma ham and the balanzoni (from Bologna) filled with mortadella, ricotta, parmigiano and pistachios is so good as well as the tagliatelle, rosetta and sometimes they have a perfectly made lasagna. The pasta is made with good skills and is so tasty.You can also have crescentina modenese what is is a flatbread from Modena and served with charcuterie and a slow cooked onion marmalade with tomato. Boutique Emilia is so popular that you have to make a reservation several months ahead – or give it a try, if you are lucky there is room for you.

You can get a very classic Danish Lunch with smørrebrød, beer and aquavit. It is good but also an old school culinary style. You can get open sandwiches or open face sandwiches with ryebread and e.g. smoked eel, plaice with remoulade, beef tatar the traditional way with horseradish, hen salad and aged cheese. In this place you can experience “hygge” and get a nice eating experience. It is popular so it is a good idea to make a reservation. It is so old school that they do not have a homepage but a phone so give them a call.Not a place for vegans but for omnivores.

We came here especially for the Korean fried chicken, but let us show you the whole rundown of what we had:* Grilled white asparagus & ddeok skewer with pine nut dressing and dried shrimp.* Beef tartare with cucumber and ramson.* Korean fried chicken.* Galbi rice with pork neck, soy cured egg yolk and house bbq sauce.We enjoyed our meal here, especially the fried chicken, and maybe the only one we didn’t love was actually the galbi rice. On the other side, the wine selection was quite nice and diverse.
