Andrew's Hamburgers

Melbourne has the greatest hamburger in the entire world. That's a true statement, in my opinion. It's from a a hamburger shop that's been run by the same family for about 70 years. It's called Andrew's hamburgers and it's in Albert Park in Melbourne very close to South Melbourne market. Is it's an Australian hamburger and we call it a burger with the lot. So a burger with the lot has a beef Patty, a fluffy sesame seed top bun, slices of tomato, lettuce, cheese, bacon, tomato sauce, a fried egg, tinned beetroot and a slice of tinned and grilled pineapple. I order a burger with the lot with beetroot and pineapple. It's a pretty big meal. A burger with the lot is more of a fish and chip shop hamburger because it's an older dish and Andrews just does it so well. It's a tiny little takeaway shop with some little tables on the street. It's one of the best things you can eat in the city. It makes me so happy to eat it. It’s do delicious and so pleasing and deeply satisfying. It's so incredibly consistent, it's never bad and that's a remarkable thing. Andrew's hamburgers is my top recommendation for Melbourne.
