Hoppers is the Sri Lankan restaurant started in Soho by a good friend of mine, Karan Gokani. To me, he's one of the most amazing chefs, you feel the personality in the food and his love of the culture and his understanding of hospitality inside that restaurant, which I love, even though there's three or four branches now. Their bone marrow curry to this day is still one of my favourite things to eat. My kids are very picky eaters and even they love this curry. A hopper is basically a fermented rice flour pancake, and I love their egg hoppers with a sunny side up egg in the middle that you eat with your curry, and you get this wonderful array of textures of both crisp and soft.
