Traditional sushi counter serving only Omakase menu. This is definitely the best sushi that we know of currently in Barcelona and also one of the best in Spain. Sato used to work at Sato i Tanaka until he decided to open his own sushiya called Sensato. The restaurant is only a counter, which is the only way we like to enjoy sushi, and serves Omakase only as mentioned. The curious thing about this omakase compared to others we’ve had, is that they mix the otsumamis and the nigiris instead of starting with the otsumamis and then follow it with nigiris. We really enjoyed this format of mixing, and thought it was very nicely balanced to still be able to taste every single bite. Now let’s see some of the dishes we had:* O toro zuke with an egg yolk, soy and truffle sauce.* Iwashi nigiri.* Maguro zuke nigiri.* Gelatine of cockle broth, cockle, tomato and asparagus.* Ikura gunkan.* O toro nigiri.* Shiso with sardine tempura and beetroot tempura.* Unagi nigiri. The whole omakase was around 21 dishes long, these ones mentioned just are some of our favorites. We loved the place, the atmosphere, and above all that, the food! A place we can’t recommend enough, but be warned, it’s hard to book.
