Som Tam Jay So

Yet another of my favourites in Bangkok. Som Tam Jay So, located on Phiphat 2, is a very popular Isan (north-eastern) Thai restaurant. There was this fun sense of community here, since they were so busy most of the customers were helping the staff out. Everyone went to pick up their own orders, took rice from the community basket and took their drinks from the fridge. We even got served one dish by someone who I assume was a nurse at a nearby hospital. We had grilled pork neck (kaw moo yang), sweet corn salad, grilled chicken wings, a spicy som tum with pla ra, and a classic larb moo. Go here if in Bangkok, you wont regret it.
