I'm not sure what to think of Yotam Ottolenghi's other restaurants. I like them, but... oddly I find myself liking this restaurant in dull, sorry, up and coming, Fitzrovia my favourite. It's not as fancy as Nopi, but maybe that's a good thing. The food is vegetable-based, but there are meat and seafood options. There's a massive wood-fired grill where most food is prepared – and tons of homemade pickles and preserves. These things set a tone, but the mix is very well executed. Unlike in most restaurants with a heavy emphasis on pickles you're not walking out of the restaurant with a taste of vinegar in the back of your mouth.
